Oh to stroll along the river’s edge
as was our wont to do
In those days so long ago
when love was fresh and new
We’d wander through the dandelions
picking one or two
Bestowing them upon each other
pledging we’d be true
You’d tuck them gently in my hair
they made a bed for two
Your ecstatic face above me
haloed by skies so blue
Those golden days are gone forever
flown so swiftly out of view
But I’d see the dandelions dancing
if I was there again with you

You will find as you look back upon your life that the
moments when you have truly lived are the moments
when you have done things in the spirit of love.
